In 1903 (Meiji 36), the "1st Metal Casting Exhibition" was held at Ueno Building No. 5.

Founded in 1907 (Meiji 40) as the Tokyo Metal Casting Association (the predecessor of the Metal Casters Association) by Yukisei Okazaki, Joun Oshima, Shuma Katori, and Somei Matsuhashi.

In 1908 (Meiji 41), the "2nd Metal Casting Exhibition" was held. It has been held annually ever since.

In 1926 (Taisho 15), the "Tokyo Metal Casting Association Exhibition" was held at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. It has been held annually ever since.

In 1946 (Showa 21), the Tokyo Metal Casting Association was dissolved and reformed into the "Metal Casters Association," with members including Hidemasa Katori, Toyochika Takamura, Kado Sugita, Masahiko Katori, and Haruji Naito.

Newly established by Maruyama Fubo, Marutani Tando, Aida Tomiyasu, and others.

In 1947 (Showa 22), the "First Exhibition of the Metal Casters Association" was held at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. Since then, the association has continued to present its work.

In 1957 (Showa 32), "A Draft History of Modern Metal Casting" was published. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of its founding, the "Masterpieces of Metal Casting Exhibition" was held at Mitsukoshi Main Store.

Organized by the Asahi Shimbun, supported by the Cultural Properties Protection Committee (now the Agency for Cultural Affairs) and the Tokyo National Museum, and with the cooperation of Tokyo University of the Arts.

The exhibition displayed over 200 items, including important cultural properties and other antique art objects, as well as posthumous works by deceased artists. It was highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally as the finest craft exhibition of the postwar era.

In 1966 (Showa 41), the 60th anniversary exhibition was held at Mitsukoshi Main Store. With the support of the Agency for Cultural Affairs and Tokyo University of the Arts, the exhibition featured posthumous works by deceased artists and works by members.

In 1978 (Showa 53), a 70th anniversary exhibition was held at the Mitsukoshi Main Store Craft Salon. The exhibition featured posthumous works by deceased artists and works by members.

In 1986 (Showa 61), an exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the company's founding was held at the Mitsukoshi Main Store Craft Salon.

In 1994 (Heisei 6), the 90th anniversary of its founding, the "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" exhibition '94 was held, organized by the Japan Metal Casting Association, the Japan Society for Crafts, and the Azabu Museum of Art and Crafts.

With the support of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, the exhibition will be held at the Azabu Museum of Art and Crafts in Tokyo and the Daimaru Takaoka store in Toyama.

In 1996 (Heisei 8), the "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" exhibition '96 was held, organized by the Japan Metal Casting Association, the Japan Society for Crafts, and the Azabu Museum of Art and Crafts, with the support of the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

In 1998 (Heisei 10), the Metal Casters Association was dissolved and renamed the "Japan Metal Casters Association" in order to promote itself to the world.
In 1999 (Heisei 11), the "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" exhibition '99 was held at the Takaoka Art Museum, Toyama, organized by the Japan Metal Casters Association.

In 2000 (Heisei 12), the Japan Metal Casters Association Selected Artists Exhibition was held at the Sano City Museum of Local History in Tochigi Prefecture, sponsored by Sano City, the Sano Renaissance Metal Casting Exhibition Executive Committee, and the Sano City Museum of Local History.

In 2003 (Heisei 15), the "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" exhibition '03 was held at the Saitama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art in Saitama, organized by the Japan Metal Casters Association and supported by the Saitama City Board of Education and TV Saitama.
The traveling exhibition "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" '03 - Young Artists and Metal Casting in the Takaoka Area - was held at the Takaoka City Museum of Art and the Japan Metal Casters Association.

Organized by Kitanippon Shimbun, co-sponsored by Takaoka City Commerce and Industry Department, Takaoka City Board of Education, Kitanippon Broadcasting, and Takaoka Copperware Traditional Crafts Promotion Cooperative Association.

Held at the Takaoka City Museum of Art in Toyama, sponsored by the Industrial Youth Association.

In 2008 (Heisei 20), the Japan Metal Casters Association hosted the "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" exhibition '08 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its founding, at the Metal Art Museum Hikari no Tani.

The exhibition is being held at the Saitama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, with the support of the Collection, the Saitama Prefectural Board of Education, the Saitama City Board of Education, TV Saitama, and the Saitama Shimbun.
In 2011 (Heisei 23), the "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" exhibition '11 was held at the Saitama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, organized by the Japan Metal Casters Association.

In 2015 (Heisei 27), the "Japanese Metal Casting - Forms of Casting" exhibition '15 was held at the Saitama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, organized by the Japan Metal Casters Association.

In 2018 (Heisei 30), the "Forms of Casting '18 - Japan-Korea Exchange Exhibition" was held at Gallery MI, Korean Cultural Center, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan, organized by the Japan Metal Casters Association.

In 2024 (Reiwa 6), the "Forms of Casting 2024" exhibition was held at Kawaguchi City Art Gallery Atria, organized by the Japan Casting Association.
