Scottish sculptor specialising in bronze and precious metals. Physics graduate from University of Essex 1970. Studied sculpture at Bath Academy of Art 1971 - 73, developing interest in bronze casting. Established studio-foundry 1975. Work has been exhibited widely in the UK and Europe. Abstract sculptures are informed by coastal landscapes, maritime structures and lifelong engagement with the craft of metal casting. Also many commissioned sculptures have been made, for public art, corporate organisations, churches, armed forces, sports, and private customers.

Gold plated silver
Modelled in clay, rubber moulded in sections. Cast into wax and then into silver in parts in studio foundry, by vacuum assisted lost wax casting. Sections soldered together, chased, polished and gold electroplated. Semi-precious stones set in breast.

Commission for sculptures of the family crest for the ancestral castle home of a Scottish family. “The Pelican in Her Piety” is an ancient Christian symbol of sacrifice.
