きたのさんは、これまで「あくせさり」を中心に制作を展開されてきました。
そして今、かつて取り組まれていたレリーフの制作に、あらためて向き合われています。
積み重ねてきた時間や感覚が、
ひとつひとつ段をなすように、
現在のかたちへとつながっています。
戻っているようで、
らせんを描くようにのぼっていく。
本展では、これまでの歩みの延長線上にある作品とともに、
新たな試みを織り交ぜながら、作家の現在地をひらきます。
からだを彩る「あくせさり」と、
心の内を見つめるようなレリーフ。
その往還のなかにある表現を、どうぞ、それぞれの「きざはし」を辿るようにご覧ください。

We are pleased to share information about the solo exhibition of our member, Mariko Kitano (@kitano.mariko).

Kitano has long centered her practice on “accessories,” developing works that engage closely with the body.
At present, she turns once again to relief works—an approach she explored earlier in her career.

Accumulated time and sensibility unfold step by step, forming layers that lead into her current expressions.
While it may seem like a return, her practice ascends in a spiral, moving forward through repetition and renewal.

In this exhibition, works that extend from her past trajectory are presented alongside new explorations, opening a view into her present position as an artist.
From “accessories” that adorn the body to reliefs that quietly reflect inner landscapes—
we invite you to trace these expressions as if ascending each step of your own kizahashi.
